By creating a Fonte account, connecting a wallet, or using the service in any way, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Fonte. If you are using the service on behalf of a company or fund, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for that entity.
You must read these terms alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what limited data we handle and how.
Fonte builds and manages a crypto portfolio strategy on your behalf. We hold a basket of major assets (Bitcoin and Ethereum) during the post-halving bull phase and rotate into a stablecoin liquidity position (currently the Aave USDC pool on Aerodrome), automatically rebalanced to stay in range, during the bear phase, on a rules-based halving-cycle schedule, rebalancing those positions over time. The specific stablecoin venue may change if a pool is deprecated or a better one becomes available.
We manage strategies. We do not take custody. Your assets remain in a smart wallet that only you control. You grant Fonte a narrow, revocable permission to perform management actions inside vetted protocols. That permission never includes the ability to withdraw or transfer your assets to anyone but you.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do our best to keep it running and performing well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, specific results, or that any strategy will be profitable.
Nothing Fonte provides is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and nothing here is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or financial instrument. Portfolio targets, allocations, and historical figures are illustrative and do not predict future results.
You are responsible for deciding whether managed crypto exposure is suitable for you, based on your own circumstances and, where appropriate, advice from a qualified professional.
Crypto is volatile and carries real risk of loss. By using Fonte you acknowledge and accept the following, among others:
Past performance, targets, and benchmarks are not guarantees. We aim to show you the realistic worst case for each portfolio, but the actual outcome may be worse.
Fonte charges a single performance-based fee: 10% of the yield and realized profit we earn for you. There is no management fee, no fee to join, and no fee to leave.
Network gas costs and third-party protocol fees are separate from Fonte's performance fee and are borne by your wallet as part of normal on-chain activity.
You retain ownership and control of your assets at all times. Fonte's permission is limited to management actions and is revocable by you at any moment.
You can withdraw anytime. There is no lock-up and no penalty. Revoke our permission and withdraw your funds whenever you choose. Some positions may take a short period to unwind before the underlying assets are fully liquid, but nothing holds your funds hostage.
Because you hold your own keys, you are responsible for safeguarding them, including the twelve-word recovery phrase issued when you open a vault. We cannot recover a lost key or phrase, and we cannot reverse transactions you authorize.
You can add Canadian dollars to your vault by Interac e-Transfer. That option is provided by Paytrie, a registered Canadian money services business. When you use it, you enter into a purchase with Paytrie on Paytrie's terms.
Fonte is not party to the transfer. Your dollars go from your bank to Paytrie, and Paytrie sends USDC directly to your vault. Fonte does not receive, hold, or transmit your money at any point, and does not act as a money services business. Fonte relays your request to Paytrie and shows you its status.
Verification is Paytrie's, not ours. Paytrie requires identity verification through its provider before a purchase. Fonte does not perform it and cannot approve, decline, or speed it up. Our privacy policy sets out what we do and do not keep.
You must own the vault you fund. The person who verifies with Paytrie must be the owner of the vault receiving the USDC. We ask you to confirm ownership with your passkey or wallet before linking the two. Do not fund a vault you do not control.
Limits and timing are set by Paytrie and by your bank. Paytrie applies limits per purchase and per day, shown in the app before you confirm. A purchase expires if the transfer is not received within the window Paytrie states, about one hour. An expired purchase is not a loss: the money never left your bank. Your bank sets its own Interac limits, which are often lower than Paytrie's.
Paytrie's fee is separate from ours. It is shown before you confirm and is deducted from the amount converted. Fonte's performance fee in section 5 applies only to profit made in your vault afterwards.
The blockchain is the record of what arrived. Paytrie's status and the arrival of USDC in your vault are two separate facts and can differ in timing. If Paytrie reports a purchase complete and the USDC has not reached your vault, contact us and we will trace it with Paytrie.
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and legally permitted to use crypto services where you live. You are responsible for complying with the laws, regulations, and tax obligations that apply to you.
Managed-account and performance-fee arrangements may be regulated activities in your jurisdiction and may not be available everywhere. It is your responsibility to confirm that using Fonte is lawful for you. Fonte may restrict or decline service where required by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fonte and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, arising from your use of the service. This includes losses from market movements, smart-contract failures, protocol or network issues, or downtime.
Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Because this is a prototype, the service is offered without warranties of any kind.
We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, notify you. Continuing to use Fonte after a change means you accept the revised terms.
