Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These terms are an illustrative draft, not a binding legal agreement. They are written in plain language to show the kind of relationship Fonte intends. Obtain qualified legal advice for your jurisdiction before relying on them.

1 Acceptance

By creating a Fonte account, connecting a wallet, or using the service in any way, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Fonte. If you are using the service on behalf of a company or fund, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for that entity.

You must read these terms alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what limited data we handle and how.

2 The service

Fonte builds and manages a crypto portfolio strategy on your behalf. We allocate your assets across lending, liquidity provision, a core of major assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, and tactical long and short positions, then rebalance, harvest, and compound those positions over time.

We manage strategies. We do not take custody. Your assets remain in a smart wallet that only you control. You grant Fonte a narrow, revocable permission to perform management actions inside vetted protocols. That permission never includes the ability to withdraw or transfer your assets to anyone but you.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do our best to keep it running and performing well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, specific results, or that any strategy will be profitable.

3 No financial advice

Nothing Fonte provides is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and nothing here is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or financial instrument. Portfolio targets, allocations, and historical figures are illustrative and do not predict future results.

You are responsible for deciding whether managed crypto exposure is suitable for you, based on your own circumstances and, where appropriate, advice from a qualified professional.

4 Risks

Crypto is volatile and carries real risk of loss. By using Fonte you acknowledge and accept the following, among others:

  • Market risk. Crypto prices can fall sharply and quickly. The value of your portfolio can drop substantially, and a steep drawdown should be expected at some point in any cycle.
  • Total loss is possible. You can lose money, up to and including your entire investment.
  • Smart-contract risk. The protocols we use are software. Bugs, exploits, or failures, even in audited and established protocols, can result in partial or total loss of funds.
  • Liquidity and execution risk. Some positions take time to unwind, and prices may move against you during entry, exit, or rebalancing.
  • Counterparty and protocol risk. Lending and liquidity venues can change parameters, pause, or fail in ways outside our control.

Past performance, targets, and benchmarks are not guarantees. We aim to show you the realistic worst case for each portfolio, but the actual outcome may be worse.

5 Fees

Fonte charges a single performance-based fee: 10% of the yield and realized profit we earn for you. There is no management fee, no fee to join, and no fee to leave.

  • Lending and liquidity. 10% of the yield generated, accrued continuously and charged only on interest earned, never on your principal.
  • Trading positions. 10% of realized profit when a position closes in the green, subject to a high-water mark.
  • High-water mark. If a position dips and later recovers, you pay nothing until you are back above your previous peak. You never pay twice for the same gains.
  • Flat or losing periods. If we do not earn you a profit, you pay nothing.

Network gas costs and third-party protocol fees are separate from Fonte's performance fee and are borne by your wallet as part of normal on-chain activity.

6 Non-custodial and withdrawals

You retain ownership and control of your assets at all times. Fonte's permission is limited to management actions and is revocable by you at any moment.

You can withdraw anytime. There is no lock-up and no penalty. Revoke our permission and withdraw your funds whenever you choose. Some positions may take a short period to unwind before the underlying assets are fully liquid, but nothing holds your funds hostage.

Because you hold your own keys, you are responsible for safeguarding them. We cannot recover lost keys or reverse transactions you authorize.

7 Eligibility and regulation

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and legally permitted to use crypto services where you live. You are responsible for complying with the laws, regulations, and tax obligations that apply to you.

Managed-account and performance-fee arrangements may be regulated activities in your jurisdiction and may not be available everywhere. It is your responsibility to confirm that using Fonte is lawful for you. Fonte may restrict or decline service where required by law.

8 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fonte and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, arising from your use of the service. This includes losses from market movements, smart-contract failures, protocol or network issues, or downtime.

Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Because this is a prototype, the service is offered without warranties of any kind.

9 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, notify you. Continuing to use Fonte after a change means you accept the revised terms.
